Made bear hats for the new Guildren. These were meant to be owl hats (the cool ones in a blog I found) but I got lazy and ended up with these. They were a hit and even had requests to make more!

($12 each incl wrapping & postage to anywhere in Australia)

One Handed Apple Pie

Now that we have a baby, we are slowly learning the skill of doing things with one hand... Here's my first attempt at baking a one-handed apple pie. Glad to report that it didn't turn out too badly!

Bonus- discovering you can use psyllium husk as a natural filling thickener. Pretty cool!

Bub's 1 Month

Celebrating B's one month milestone together with my sis F's birthday today - perfect day for a monkey cake!

Cook Ahead - Harmony Day

Ahh...cooking ahead pays off and will continue to do so! Here's our Mexican hotpot with fresh guacamole and Welsh pastor with veggies.

There's more multicultural cuisine waiting to be discovered in our freezer - Italian Bolognese, Irish Guinness Pie, American Pumpkin Soup and Indian Beef&Lentil Curry. Frozen Harmony Day! Cool!

Felt like knitting & crocheting today so I thought us make some baby hats...

Fluffy Bsby Pillow

Made a bub support pillow and a few cases...not long now til we get to use them! So exciting!

J's Baby Shower

A friend & colleague is having her first bub and celebrating with a shower... I thought it's just apt to make her some peanut butter baby cakes as she's having a baby and loooves peanut butter!

Pressies Prep

Ooh not long now til our bub arrives so I thought I'd get prepared... Wrapped pressies for friends who are having celebrations close to our due dates... A few birthdays and baby showers are coming up!

Impromptu Baby Card

I was on maternity leave so mum thought she'd drop by and ask me to make a baby welcome card for one if her colleagues... This is what I could come up with on short notice :)

Bec Bix

My bestie had her baby and they said oats help with milk production so off I went on a biccy baking frenzy! These are the three types of biscuits I made - white choc & cranberry, choc chip & sultana and original oatmeal.

B's Christmas Shortbread

B's been talking about how having tea and shortbread makes it feel like Christmas...

so with a bit of inspiration... I've made him some - in 4 different flavours so he gets a choice of a few...

there's the traditional one, cranberry&white choc, choc chip and nutty almond.

B woke me for a cheery pick me up today - he's gotten the tree out and put on some carols.

Mousy mouse

While looking for a book for a friend's birthday, I found a fab knitting book... this baby mouse is my first project from the book :)

Happy Fifth Birthday Renae!

My little sister is 5 and she wanted a rainbow princess cake and cupcakes ~ I was more than happy to comply :) I hope she and her guests liked it!

Whole Orange Cake

Mmm whole orange cake - made with whole organic oranges, wholemeal flour, hazelnut meal, poppyseeds, eggs and sugar.

Thought I'd bake this cake for Wallabies team spirit(for the world cup match against NZ) - served at the QAS corner. Yummo!
