Impromptu Baby Card

I was on maternity leave so mum thought she'd drop by and ask me to make a baby welcome card for one if her colleagues... This is what I could come up with on short notice :)

Our family was deeply touched by all the sympathy cards, flowers and all other forms of  assistance we have received from friends and colleagues as we farewelled my grandmother

J's BabyShower

Honoured to host one of my closest friend's veri first baby shower and loved making lots of crafty things for the party...

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Christmas 2010 is upon us! It feels like it came in a blink.

The tree's up and the newsletter's in progress and cards are being made.

I truly enjoyed making the cards (left)  at stamp camp at M's farm on the weekend and couldn't help myself and continued to make more (right) using the lovely materials my sister-in-law P sent for my birthday. Ahhh, wonderful holidays...

A Card for a Giftcard

There's more and more people who are giving friends and family the gift of shopping fun and allowing recipients to pick their own presents by giving a gift card.

I made my very first giftcard card for my friend J's 30th birthday. It's a nice, unique and discreet way of presenting a gift card (the recipient unties the little bow on the right at slowly pulls the ribbons apart to reveal - tadaa! - a shopping experience gift card!).

This trifold card is part of the spotty series that I submitted to be published in the Handmade Living book - and it got accepted!

An Exploding Birthday Card for H - Surprise! 4 July 2010

It was H’s birthday and we wanted to surprise and spoil her because she’s the most thoughtful person in the world!

I made her this card (there were a lot of us that wanted to sign it so I put in some ‘extensions’) and also made her a pair of super special pearl earrings.
