Nappy cakes are so much fun to make and such a practical present to give new parents (or old parents with new babies)! The two above are for work colleagues and the one below is the very first one I’ve ever made for a dear friend for her firstbaby.

Explosion card

Explosion cards

I made this card for H this year - because we needed a lot more room for people to sign (you see H is a very nice person and everyone loved her!).

Explosion card - $6 each, includes envelope.

Tasmania is renowned for good food and it does not disappoint!

Freshly smoked oysters and a seafood curry at the Drunken Admiral were delicious! And of course I never fail to have my scallop pie and ginger beer after a good stroll of the Salamanca Markets! And finally, last drinks at the Casino before heading for the airport…

Good Food, Pitiful Service - Sad for A Bite to Eat 15 Aug 2010

I loved my black pudding with rocket salad, roasted capsicum, haloumi cheese and egg on toast at A Bite to Eat.

It’s just so sad that their service sucks! They took so long to get the food out and then had the nerve to tell us that we need to leave pronto as the next people for our table have arrived. Arrogant much?

I hope they were just having a bad day…may be one day I’ll try them
again…but I’m not in a hurry.

Slices of Life and French Fest for B's Bday - 2 Aug 2010

It’s B’s birthday so I put on my apron and cooked up a storm! I made two batches of slices – an oatmeal &jam slice one and a chunky chocolate & peanut butter one.  They were not for eating at home but for sharing at the office.  (Well there was soo much so even MY office celebrated B’s birthday).

Still for B’s birthday, upon special request, we had a French dish for dinner – Bouillinade. A fish, potato and tasty herb (and butter of course) dish from the Languedoc region!

Knitted Bracelets

I learned to make this knitted bracelet at the very first craft show I attended back in 2007. I was inspired to get back to them this year when I made Z a purple one for her birthday.

I have only a limited amount of materials left so please message me soon so I can put some aside for you.

Knitted bracelet: made from acrylic bicone, seed beads and wire - $20

Sugar Roses

Classy and timeless. Sugar roses are a nice touch to a celebration cake.

from $1 each, choice of size and colour available and leaves can also be commissioned.
