Cherry Brownie Cake

This cherry brownie cake is B's very own - I was told I was lucky to catch it whole as it was going to devoured ASAP - cherry liqueur and all. The big version got raided at the work BBQ hosted at M's farm. It was great to have everyone together in a social setting and just having a great time (one last time as the Division as we know it).

The print on this fabric made me think of shopping and thought to make a little shopping bag for Catherine! I hope she enjoys it!

Pressies for Little Nicola

I made these headbands and origami bag for Nicola's first birthday. I had fun not just in creating them but also choosing the materials from the Handmade Markets in Canberra which I visited with girlfriends not so just a few days ago.

My MIL found a recipe for this black forest cake and it took very little urging for me to give it a go!

it was a nice and light close to a meal on NYE.

Thought I'd post this coz it's so cute! B and I took our nephew S and niece E for a day out at the Gallery of Modern Art (we played with awesome Lego, went on teh giant slide and became members of Alien Nation)! We also went to the Museum and had lunch at the Brissie State Library.

Shadow Boxes - Stage 1

These are the shadow boxes i made for my FIL.

They're full of wonderful memorabilia from his 40++ years at Customs.

(I hope he enjoys it when they're ready to go up on the wall).

Black Forest German Restaurant

We went to the Black Forest German Restaurant in Highgate Hill to celebrate (again) my FILs' 60th. lots of fun was had as we battled through very generous (and very authentic) German fare. (oh yes, they had wild swine - B had it for a main!) 

We all started with a beer then I had a ham & pickle salad, a schnitzel with spaetzl and a Schwartzwald Becher for dessert.

     

Oh wow...I have never eaten sooo much (I had to take half my main home for lunch the next day! LOL)
